While today's lyricists are shining in composing lyrics according to the times, every song written in tamil cinema before this was timeless. In today's times, there are only a few lyricists who compose such lyrics. The most important among them is lyricist Thamarai. Thamarai, a lyricist and journalist, has written lyrics for his songs without english words. She has composed lyrics for many films including Iniyavale, Pudumai Pen, Kallazhagar, james Pandu, Veeranadai, Minnele, Mayan Cobra, Vendu Thanindhu Kadu, and Nirangal Moro. Despite composing them, she has not used a single english word in each song. Instead, she searched for and found every word and wrote it in pure Tamil.

Netizens have been posting comments saying that tamil cinema should have provided such a lyricist. It is noteworthy that she has written lyrics for more than 50 songs for almost 27 years, starting from 1998 and ending in 2025.
