Esha Deol Recalls 'Depressing' False Drug Addiction Rumours: 'I Told My Mom To Get My Blood Test Done'
Esha Deol has opened up about the emotional turmoil she faced in the early 2000s when she was falsely accused of being a drug addict.
The daughter of famous actors dharmendra and hema Malini, esha deol, recently commented on the emotional toll that false allegations took on her in the early 2000s. There were false reports in many media outlets claiming she was involved in drug experiments and that she could be entering rehab shortly.
Esha discussed the challenging period in her life and how the rumors impacted her mental health in ram Kamal Mukherjee's biography of hema Malini, ‘Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl’. “I would like to say that I am dead against drugs and I have never touched it," Esha Deol said, recalling the painful experience. "When that article (about her being a drug addict) came out, I was so depressed and hurt that I told my mom she could get my blood test done to check."
Esha Deol said that she enjoyed going out and drinking with friends, but that she would never intentionally embarrass her parents. She shared, “I would have never done anything that would put my parents to shame. Yes, I would party, I would have a few drinks with my friends, I would have my share of fun, and why not? That was the right age and time. At that age, everyone parties and drinks; the only issue was that I was in the public eye."
