Khushi Kapoor Reveals Sridevi's Sweet Secret: 'She Wouldn't Let Us watch Her Movies'

In a heartwarming conversation, Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late actress sridevi, shared a delightful secret about her mother's shy nature.

Khushi Kapoor recently talked about her mother, the late great actress sridevi, and the unique relationship they shared. The actress, who is preparing for the release of her second movie 'Loveyapa', reflected on how her mother Sridevi was so self-conscious that she would never let her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, see any of her movies.

In a recent interview with Vicky Lalwani, Khushi Kapoor said, “She actually wouldn’t let us watch them (her movies) at home; it was a bit tough. She would just feel a bit shy. So, Janhvi and I would have to watch them secretly in a room by ourselves. Regardless, we did watch a lot of them, there were so many, but we'd have to do it secretly."

When asked if she aimed to follow in her mother Sridevi's footsteps, Khushi Kapoor responded, “don’t think so. As an actor, generally, I don’t think you should try to mimic another person’s performance. I don’t want to touch that (her mother’s) legacy. This is my separate journey and path. Also, I’m very new and still learning. I’m finding myself as I go. So, I don’t think following someone else would make that any easier.”

She went on to recall her days of playing along with memorable bollywood scenes, such as the one in ‘Om Shanti Om’, when she would emulate Shah Rukh Khan's signature wave.
