Chhaava' Actor rashmika mandanna Says She Is 'Happy Enough To Retire'. Know Why
Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the role of maratha queen Yesubai Bhonsale, expressed her excitement and gratitude about 'Chhaava'.
In the historical drama ‘Chhaava’, Rashmika Mandanna will star opposite vicky kaushal as maratha queen Yesubai Bhonsale, and she is sure to make quite an impression. The actress expressed her enthusiasm for the part during the january 22 trailer premiere ceremony at Mumbai's famous Plaza Theatre, and she even joked that she is ready to retire after playing such a significant figure.
Everyone from the cast and crew showed up to the spectacular trailer release event. rashmika thanked the makers for the opportunity to play such a pivotal part at the launch and joked, "After this, I just feel like I am happy to retire."
The actress said, “It is an honor. From a girl coming from the South to play Maharani Yesubai is the most privileged and special thing I could ask for in this lifetime. I was just telling Laxman (director) sir that after this, I just feel like I am happy to retire. I am not someone who cries, but this trailer choked me up. Vicky looks like God, he’s Chhaava."
Rashmika recalled how surprised she was by the offer as she was thinking about the audition and getting ready for it. She said, “I remember being shocked how did Laxman sir even think of giving me a role like this to play? I just surrendered… you don’t have a reference. It’s a story. You know their story and they are such majestical, impactful characters and personalities. How do you play them?"
About ‘Chhaava’
In the movie 'Chhaava', Vicky portrays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while rashmika plays Maharani Yesubai and akshaye khanna plays Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. divya Dutta, Santosh Juvekar, pradeep Rawat, Neil Bhoopalam, and ashutosh rana are among the other important cast members. The historical action movie will be released in theatres on february 14, 2025.
The aesthetically breathtaking and emotionally intense epic is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films.
