Akshay Kumar: akshay kumar raised questions about history books and said that we read about Akbar and Aurangzeb, but the stories of the bravery of indian soldiers are nowhere to be seen. Bollywood actor akshay kumar recently stressed the need for 'reform' in history books in an interview. He was talking about this issue during the promotion of his new film Sky Force. Akshay said that stories of bravery of indian soldiers should also be included in history books, because often we get to read about personalities like Akbar and Aurangzeb, but the stories of our real heroes, whose bravery has saved the country, are missing.
During an interview with news 18, Akshay said, "There are not many things in our books. I deliberately choose characters who are not a part of our books. This is what I want to do. These are all unknown heroes." He also said that people do not know about these heroes because no one explores their stories in depth. Akshay said, "I chose such characters because these stories are very important."
Akshay further said, "Many things need to be corrected in history books. We get to read about Akbar and Aurangzeb, but not about our heroes. Their names should also be in the books." The actor also mentioned the brave soldiers who have received honors like Param Vir Chakra. He said that their heroic stories should also be given importance. Akshay said, "We have a lot of stories related to the army, many of which have received Param Vir Chakra. I think history needs to be corrected. Also, stories of such heroes should be told to the new generation." In the film Sky Force, akshay kumar plays the character of Wing commander KO Ahuja, which is based on indian Air Force Wing commander Om Prakash Taneja. During the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War, Om Prakash Taneja showed bravery by destroying the enemy's aircraft and runway, for which he was awarded the Vir Chakra.
Veer Pahadia, Nimrat Kaur, and sara ali khan are also in the lead roles along with Akshay in the film. The film is directed by Abhishek anil kapoor and sandeep Kewlani. The film is going to be released on january 24.
