'Our bodies dumped.': jaya bachchan claims water is most 'infected' at maha kumbh

Samajwadi birthday celebration (sp) rajya sabha mp jaya bachchan on monday claimed that the triveni sangam water at the ongoing maha kumbh in prayagraj has been contaminated because of the bodies being dumped into the river following the current stampede which claimed the lives of at the least 30 folks.



She further launched an attack on the yogi adityanath-led management pronouncing that there are not any arrangements for the common man at the mega congregation.

"… in which is the water maximum contaminated right now? It's in kumbh. Our bodies (of those who died inside the stampede) had been thrown inside the river due to which the water has been infected… the real troubles aren't being addressed. The commonplace people traveling kumbh are not receiving any special treatment, there is no arrangement for them," news organization ani quoted bachchan as pronouncing.

She similarly claimed that while vips are becoming special treatment, everyday devotees have been left with out proper facilities. "the not unusual human beings touring kumbh aren't receiving any special remedy, and there is no arrangement for them," she reiterated.

Bachchan also questioned the mass accumulating at kumbh and cast her doubts at the figures quoted with the aid of the yogi government.

"They may be mendacity that crores of people have visited the vicinity, how can this kind of large quantity of people gather in that area at any given point?"

Research underway, says bjp

Meanwhile, bjp mp and previous union minister ravishankar prasad advised the lok sabha that the investigation into the stampede is underway.

"Investigation is underway at the incident that passed off in maha kumbh. We have become the odor of a conspiracy from the investigation. While the entire investigation is carried out, the people who were at the back of the incident will have to bow down in disgrace," the previous union minister said.

Maha kumbh stampede

Throughout the mauni amavasya dip on january 29, a stampede at sangam nostril resulted within the dying of 30 humans and left 60 injured. police said because of the big rush, the devotees jostled for area, breaking a barrier that brought about the commotion.

Held as soon as every 12 years, human beings attend maha kumbh to take a dip in the sacred waters, believed to clean away sins and purify the soul. The event has been installation at round 4,000 hectares and could retain till february 26.
