Talking to news agency PTI about films, naga said, 'I want to be a part of honest stories. If what you are doing has truth in it, it is connected to the roots, then it will automatically reach the audience everywhere.
Naga chaitanya said, 'This Pan india thing, making films for a particular section of the audience, selecting a particular type of actors and doing different things to present it as a Pan india film, I don't think I will adopt this method. I will choose emotions, stories, journeys and characters that are universal, grounded and real. Such stories will automatically reach the people'.
The film 'Tandel' is a romantic drama film, which is based on a real life incident. sai pallavi will be seen in the film along with naga Chaitanya. The story of the film revolves around a fisherman who gets lost in the sea and unknowingly goes to Pakistani waters. There he is caught and put in a Pakistani jail. naga chaitanya says that this film will connect with the people and they will like it.
