Tamil film industry actress Pushpalata has died at the age of 87 after a long illness. She worked in more than 100 films in her film career.


On Wednesday, news comes from the South film industry, due to which people are immersed in grief. Veteran South film actress Pushpalata was ill for a long time, due to which she died today in chennai at the age of 87.

Pushpalata started her career in the year 1958 with a tamil film, the name of the film was 'Senkottai Singam'. After this, in the year 1969, she also entered the malayalam film industry, the name of that film was 'Nurse'. During her film career, she has worked in almost 100 films. Pushpalatha worked with many South indian actors, including veteran actors like MG Ramachandran and Kamal Haasan. Pushpalatha was not only an actressbut she was also a brilliant dancer and producer.


Pushpalatha was having a brilliant film career, at the same time she fell in love with actor and film producer AVM Rajan, and then married him. They have two daughters, one of whom is tamil actress Mahalakshmi.


Pushpalatha was last seen as an actress in the film 'Poovasam' in the year 1999. After this, she devoted her mind to spirituality and social service.
