PTI quoted an official as saying that the cyber department has registered a case under the relevant sections of the IT Act and has sought the removal of all the episodes (a total of 18) of the comedy show. During its investigation, the cyber department found that the participants of the program and other people associated with the show, including guests, were seen using indecent and obscene language in the program. He said that the department has shortlisted such people including the judges and guests of the show.
At the same time, the National Commission for women (NCW) has summoned Ranveer Allahabadia, Samay Raina, apoorva Mukhija, ashish Chanchlani, jaspreet singh and the producers of the show. The NCW said in a statement, 'These comments, which have caused widespread public outrage, violate the honor and dignity of every person, especially in a society that upholds equality and mutual respect.'
The Women's Commission has asked them to appear in person before the commission. The statement said that the hearing will be held on february 17, 2025, at noon at the NCW office in New Delhi. The controversy started when the comments made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, who appeared on the show hosted by comedian Samay Raina, were considered objectionable and derogatory.
