In a conversation with Rediff, pran had said, 'After doing 20 films in the industry, I thought hindi films would welcome me. But I was wrong. I had to face a lot of hardships here. I did not have any work for more than 6 months. I had to sell my wife's jewellery to pay the bill.'

Let us tell you that pran was born on 12 february 1920. He started his career in 1940 with punjabi films. By 1980, pran had become a popular villain of the industry. He did films like ram Aur Shyam, Madhumati, Jis Desh Mein ganga Rahta Hai, kashmir Ki Kali.
