The much-awaited trailer of the film 'The Diplomat' starring bollywood actor john abraham and Sadia Khatiab was released today, Friday. Released on the birth anniversary of the late sushma Swaraj, the trailer pays tribute to the important efforts made by her in 2017 to support indian diplomat JP Singh in bringing back India's daughter.


This political thriller film talks about how cleverness and negotiation are the hero's ultimate weapons rather than war. john abraham plays real-life Indian diplomat JP Singh, who embarks on a high-stakes mission to rescue India's daughter from captivity. Directed by shivam Nair, the film features john Abraham in a character based on strategy, intelligence, and negotiation that he has never played before on the big screen.

Talking about the film, john said, 'Diplomacy is a battlefield where words carry more weight than weapons. Playing JP Singh allowed me to explore a world where power is defined by intelligence, resilience, and quiet valor. Uzma's story is a testament to India's strength and courage and I am proud to bring this inspiring journey alive on screen.'


The story, screenplay, and dialogues of The Diplomat have been written by Ritesh Shah. The cinematography of the film has been done by Dimo Popov and MSC Gyad, while editing has been done by Kunal Walve. Ravi Srivastava has overseen the production design. Daniel B George composed the original music for the film, while the sound design was done by Mohandas VP. The original music of the film has been given by A.R. Rahman and the lyrics have been written by Manoj Muntashir. The cast also includes Revathi, Kumud Mishra, and Sharib Hashmi. The film will be released in theatres on march 7.
