Vasu Bhagnani's fight with Netflix is over, the case settled for a hefty sum

Vashu Bhagnani-Netflix Dispute: Netflix and pooja Entertainment have now reached an agreement. Netflix india has ended the dispute by paying crores of rupees to Vashu Bhagnani.

In the year 2024, a dispute came to the fore between Netflix and pooja Entertainment. Netflix claimed that pooja Entertainment owed them money. At the same time, producer Vashu Bhagnani had accused Netflix india of 'fraud' of Rs 47.37 crore. Then the OTT platforms rejected these allegations. But now Netflix india has ended the dispute by paying crores of rupees to Vasu Bhagnani.


Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, 'Both parties have agreed to a settlement. Netflix has paid a huge amount to Bhagnani to end the matter. The exact figure is known only to the heads, but it is believed to be more than Rs 20 crore. Both Netflix and Vasu Bhagnani-Jacky Bhagnani have now decided to make a fresh start and are looking forward to a great, long-lasting relationship with each other.'


Vasu and Jackie had made these allegations against Netflix

In september 2024, Vasu Bhagnani and Jackie Bhagnani accused Netflix of fraud. The producers had filed a case against the OTT platform for not paying dues of about Rs 47.37 crore. In a complaint filed with the Economic Offenses Wing of mumbai Police, Vasu, and Jackie claimed that Netflix has not yet paid for the OTT rights of their three films - 'Mission Raniganj', 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' and 'Hero No. 1'.


Netflix had called the allegations 'baseless'

Netflix had completely rejected the allegations of the producers. The OTT platform had said- 'These claims are completely baseless, on the contrary, pooja Entertainment owes Netflix money. We have a strong track record of partnership with the indian creative community and we are working with the authorities to resolve this dispute.'
