She used to come during Dostana too, but not once did he bring her out or introduce her to any of us. In showbiz, everyone knew who was going to meet whom. In an interview with Zoom in 2024, shatrughan sinha talked about his cold war with rekha and said that he had not talked to her for more than two decades. He said, "We had a difference of opinion on some silly issue. After that, we did not talk to each other for more than twenty years. I had made a sarcastic remark about her. Poonam Sinha helped rekha and Shatrughan reconcile
The veteran actor had also revealed that it was his wife Poonam Sinha who helped him reconcile his relationship with Rekha. In the same interview, Shatrughan said, "It was none other than my better half, Mrs Poonam Sinha. You see, rekha and she were close friends and my so-called cold war with Rekha was creating problems in my wife's friendship with Rekha. She compromised with us for her selfish reasons, and I happily agreed to let bygones be bygones."
