What is the whole matter

The legal battle that started in 2016 between kangana ranaut and javed akhtar is now over. This dispute started in march 2016 based on a meeting held at Akhtar's residence. At that time, there was a lot of discussion about the alleged email between Ranaut and actor Hrithik Roshan, which later turned into a controversy. Akhtar, who is reportedly close to Roshan, had a meeting with Ranaut and allegedly asked her to apologize to Roshan.

Kangana Ranaut did not respond to this at the time. But in 2020, during the ongoing case of actor sushant singh Rajput's alleged suicide, Ranaut spoke about her 2016 meeting with Akhtar during a television interview. Akhtar found the interview offensive and later filed a defamation complaint against Ranaut. The legal dispute escalated when Ranaut also filed a complaint against Akhtar, alleging that he tried to pressure her to apologize. The proceedings against Akhtar have since been stayed by the Dindoshi Sessions Court.
