Thama: rashmika mandanna resumes shooting for 'Thama' after recovering from a leg injury, Ayushmann Khurrana also joins the set


Thama: The shooting of Ayushmann Khurrana's film 'Thama' has resumed after rashmika mandanna recovered. The shooting had to be halted due to the actress' leg injury.


The shooting of ayushmann khurrana and rashmika Mandanna's film 'Thama' was going on in full swing till January 2025. However, the delhi schedule was halted due to Rashmika's leg injury. Filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar resumed shooting for the vampire comedy film last week after a break of one and a half months. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was expected to join the shooting of the film in February. However, things have been reworked.

According to reports, ayushmann khurrana and rashmika mandanna are currently shooting at real locations in Mumbai. According to Mid Day, he is shooting for 'Thama' with his co-star Paresh Rawal. On march 27, the cast and crew will shift to Film City for the shoot. Sets depicting Delhi's houses and streets have been erected.


The scenes scheduled for delhi will be shot here. Nawazuddin will then join the shoot of the film. The director wants to release the film on Diwali. After completing the shoot in mumbai by April-end, the team will leave for ooty by May. They will shoot the required portions in the Nilgiri forest and will complete the project by May.

'Thama' is set in two timelines, but the latest buzz is that the film has a love story. Reportedly, this vampire comedy film will show one-sided love in its story. Though the film is based in present-day delhi, where Ayushmann is a historian, its story is replete with flashbacks that take the audience to the ancient city of Vijayanagara, where the love story begins.


'Thama' will be released on diwali 2025. The makers made an official announcement about the vampire comedy in 2024. Sharing the announcement video, Maddock Films wrote, 'Dinesh Vijan's horror comedy universe needed a love story... unfortunately, it's a bloody one.' Dinesh Vijan and amar kaushik have produced the film. Niren Bhatt, suresh Mathew, and Arun Phalara have written the story of the film.
