Karthi injured on the sets-producer shared health update!
karthi suffered a ligament injury while shooting a high-intensity action sequence with SJ surya on the sets of 'Sardar 2'. According to a report by 123 Telugu, the incident took place during the shooting in mysore on Tuesday. At the same time, the producer of the film lakshman has now shared Karthi's health update.
How is Karthi's condition now?
Giving Karthi's health update, film maker lakshman said that the doctors have advised karthi to take a week's leave to rest and recover. The producer further said that the actor's leg twisted during the action scene, but thankfully the injury was not too severe. He confirmed that it was a ligament rupture and also said that the shooting of the film will resume on Monday, march 10.
lakshman also told that the team has completed shooting all the outdoor parts of the film, so now the indoor sequences will be shot in Chennai.
Shooting of 'Sardar 2' started in 2024
Let us tell you that after the success of Sardar in late 2022, director P.S. Mithran confirmed its sequel during a media event in Chennai. The official announcement of the film was made through a promotional teaser. In Sardar 2, karthi will be seen playing a double role in the story of two different periods. The making of the film started in 2024. Along with karthi, actress Rajisha Vijayan will reprise her role in the first film in Sardar 2, while SJ surya, malavika mohanan and Aashika ranganath will also play lead roles.
Karthi's upcoming films
Apart from Sardar 2, Karthi's upcoming films include Kaththi 2. karthi will be seen playing the role of a policeman in the film Va Vaathiyar, directed by actor Nalan Kimarasamy. The film will be released in theatres this year.
