During the event, when seema Kapoor remembered om puri and said, "I have looked around, but I still remember you." The atmosphere became emotional and her eyes filled with tears.
Seema Kapoor's autobiography 'Yun Hi Gujri Hai Ab Tak' was published recently. In this book, she has preserved the ups and downs, struggles, and memorable moments of her life. During the event, she remembered om puri with an emotional line, “Jo na mil sake wahi bewafa, ye badi ajeeb si baat hai, jo chale gaye mujhe chhodkar, wahi aaj tak mere saath hain.” Seema was interested in writing since childhood and it took her eight years to complete the book. Interestingly, she shared it only with om puri and kept it a secret, even from her family.
Seema Kapoor says, “I chose the title of the book because it feels like the flow of a river. Yun gujri hai ab tak, aage aur gujrani baaki hai.” After Om Puri’s demise, she devoted herself to completing it and captured the moments spent with him in it. After reading the autobiographies of celebrities like charlie Chaplin and Gorky, she realized that every true human being makes his way through struggles.
Raghuvir Yadav who considers Seema as his sister said, “I learnt to laugh in trouble from Guddu (Seema).” Director Boney Kapoor emotionally admitted that he would regret meeting seema Kapoor late, but whenever he met her, he felt a sense of belonging. He also thanked seema for teaching Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor correct urdu and Hindi. Writer, and director Rumi Jaffrey said that he has always seen seema smiling even in difficult times.

Paresh Rawal expressed his wish to act in a story written by Seema, while divya dutta said that the love she received from seema Didi in mumbai was unmatched by anyone else. Seema's youngest brother became emotional and said, "Maa used to say, the real mother is your Seema, I have only given birth to you. Her world began with Maa and me and ended with us."
