

Shabana Azmi Was Honored With The Lifetime Achievement Award, Rs 10 Lakh, By Siddaramaiah.
As a part of the 16th global film festival held in Bengaluru, karnataka, leader minister Siddaramaiah honored the legendary indian actor and multilingual artist shabana azmi with a lifetime success award on the kaveri House.
The award was turned into an offer with a cheque of Rs 10 lakh. Famed poet, lyricist, and Azmi's husband javed akhtar also became a gift on the occasion.
Leader minister Siddaramaiah recalled Shabana Azmi's paintings, mentioning, "We clearly love the visible poem, Mile Sur Mera Tumhara. I have seen you in it."

Responding to this, the chief minister highlighted that karnataka is home to mythical Hindustani classical musicians, including Bhimsen Joshi, Kumar Gandharva, and Gangubai Hangal, all of whom hail from Dharwad.
He also noted that just as the Copyright Act has been useful to performing artists and musicians, he might suggest inside the GST Council a greater artist-friendly method to taxation.
