The Diplomat: 'The Diplomat' will not be released without showing this disclaimer, Censor Board gave instructions to the producers

The film 'The Diplomat' based on Uzma Ahmed's return to the country was screened for the Ministry of External Affairs, after which the CBFC asked the producers to add a disclaimer to the film. Bollywood actor john abraham is in the news these days for his upcoming film 'The Diplomat'. Recently, the powerful trailer of the film was also released, after which the excitement about the release of the film increased among the audience. The film is going to be released this week. However, before that important information related to the film has come to light.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has made the disclaimer mandatory for the upcoming political thriller film The Diplomat. Produced and directed by john abraham, the film is inspired by the 2017 incident of Uzma Ahmed's return to the country. The CBFC's direction comes at a time when the makers screened the film for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in the first week of March. According to a Mid Day report, on march 6, after the screening, john Abraham's film was cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an order, but the makers were directed to add a disclaimer stating that they support maintaining good relations with neighboring countries.

Sadiya Khateeb's character in The Diplomat, which is releasing on march 14, is based on Uzma Ahmed, who fled her husband's house in pakistan in May 2017 and knocked on the doors of the indian embassy in Islamabad for help, claiming she was forced to marry him at gunpoint. indian diplomat JP Singh, played by john abraham, led the effort to bring her back to India.

The screening of the film for the Ministry of External Affairs was to check that the story of the film does not reflect adversely on India's diplomatic relations with Pakistan. The CBFC's demand for the disclaimer is due to the same reason. The report said that given that the film focuses on international diplomacy, a visual and an audio disclaimer has been added to emphasize that while the main theme may be inspired by a true incident, the depiction of geopolitical tensions is dramatized and does not reflect the indian government's stance. The film is set in Pakistan. It was important to highlight this aspect, as the relations between the two countries are a sensitive matter.
