Why does aamir khan sign fewer films?

aamir khan is considered to be Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood. He is one of those few superstars who do not believe in doing many films at the same time and works in only one film in a few years. At the same time, aamir khan also recently revealed the reason due to which he started doing fewer films.

In fact, in a recent conversation with Javed Akhtar, Aamir revealed that after his debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat, he got about 400 offers. But at that time he did not have the understanding to choose the right films. Aamir said, "At that time, actors used to work in 30 to 50 films simultaneously. The interesting thing is that anil kapoor did the least number of films, 33. Looking at this, I had signed 9-10 films simultaneously. However, none of the directors I dreamed of working with gave me any role. It was only after the shooting of these films started that I realised my mistake. I was working three shifts a day, I was not happy. I would go home and cry.”

The media had called aamir khan a one film wonder

aamir khan further said, ‘Films like love love love, Awal Number and Tum Mere Ho flopped at the box office. The media called me a one film wonder. It was right, I don't blame anyone for that label. By then, I was convinced that not only these three films failed, but my next six films would also fail because they were even worse. I could see my career getting ruined. I was stuck in a quagmire, unable to get out." However, Aamir Khan's career did just the opposite and today, he is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood.

aamir khan is currently producing Lahore 1947. The film stars sunny deol and preity zinta in lead roles. The film marks Preity's comeback to Bollywood. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Lahore 1947 is currently in the editing phase, and aamir khan is excited to release the film in august 2025. As a producer, he feels that the holiday season in the month could be beneficial for the film, as it is based on the backdrop of the India-Pakistan partition, which took place in august 1947. However, the final decision on the date will be taken after editing.
