Aamir and Gauri reportedly share a long-standing bond, having known each other for 25 years. Based in Bengaluru, she works with his production house and is a mother to a six-year-old son from a previous marriage. Speaking about the sudden media attention, Aamir revealed that he has been preparing Gauri for the public scrutiny that comes with being associated with him.
“I have tried to tell her how it will be, the media madness, and prepare her somewhat for it. She isn’t used to it. But we are hoping that you guys will be kind,” Aamir told Hindustan Times.
While marriage is not on his mind, Aamir expressed contentment in his relationship with Gauri. “I don’t know at the age of 60, mujhe shaadi Shobha deti hai ki nahi (if marriage suits me),” he remarked. He also mentioned that his children support his relationship and said, “I am very fortunate to have such great relationships with my ex-wives.”
Aamir was previously married to reena Dutta for 16 years before they separated in 2002. They share two children, junaid khan and ira Khan. He later married filmmaker kiran rao in 2005, and the couple divorced in 2021. They continue to co-parent their son, azad Rao Khan.
