The case dates back to a 2012 incident at a five-star hotel, where Khan allegedly assaulted nri businessman Iqbal Sharma and his father-in-law, Raman Patel.
Arora, who was part of the dinner group that included Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, malaika arora, and other friends, recalled the events leading up to the alleged brawl. She testified that Sharma spoke aggressively, ordering the group to "shut up and keep quiet." She mentioned that the group was shocked by his behavior, but Khan quickly stood up and offered an apology. After Sharma left, they continued with their dinner.
"We saw someone barging into our enclosure and, in a very loud, aggressive voice, told us to shut up and keep quiet. We all got shocked at what was happening," she said.

Moments later, Arora and the others heard shouting, and before they could react, Sharma reportedly re-entered the enclosure and struck Khan. Arora stated that the group quickly intervened to separate them, but Sharma allegedly continued to shout insults and make threats.

Sharma and his family were seated nearby. The police said that Sharma asked the group to lower their voices, which led to a fight. Sharma claimed that Khan punched him in the nose, breaking it and that Khan and his friends attacked his father-in-law, Raman Patel.
Khan, however, said that Sharma used abusive language toward the women, making the situation worse. After the incident, Khan and his friends Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi were arrested but later released on bail. They have been charge-sheeted under Section 325 (assault) of the indian Penal Code.
Amrita Arora appeared in court after multiple summons, while her sister malaika and I were issued a bailable warrant for their repeated absences. Another witness, Farukh Wadia, was declared hostile in march and cross-examined by both sides.
