In the petition filed in the high court, it has been said that Kunal Kamra's jokes were not intended to spread any kind of hatred or animosity. They were just sarcasm. The petition also demanded that action should be taken against the officials responsible for the action taken by the municipality against Habitat Studio in Khar. The municipality has taken over the studio in Khar. In such a situation, it has been alleged in this petition that this decision has been taken in a biased manner and the municipality has misused its jurisdiction.
4 FIRs registered against Kunal Kamra
Kunal Kamra has got into legal trouble for reciting a controversial poem on maharashtra Deputy cm Eknath Shinde. A total of 4 FIRs and two NC (non-cognizable) offenses have been registered against the comedian so far. All these cases have been registered under sections 353 (1) (B), 353 (2), 356 (2) of the BNS. These cases have been transferred to the Khar police for further investigation.
