

24 cuts made in 'L2 Empuraan' after controversy…
Lal's much awaited malayalam film 'L2 Empuraan' was released on Thursday, march 27 and it had a great opening at the box office. But then the film got embroiled in controversies. Actually, Hindu organizations had objected to the scenes shown in the film regarding the gujarat riots and even demanded its ban. The matter escalated so much that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave instructions to make several cuts in the film. This development shocked the industry as the CBFC had earlier passed the film and then the scenes were not considered objectionable. Still, to reduce the controversy, the makers decided to make these changes. Let's know here what changes have been made in 'L2 Empuraan'.
24 cuts have been made in 'L2 Empuraan'
According to bollywood Hungama's report, CBFC had instructed to make 24 cuts in 'L2 Empuraan' instead of 17. Along with this, the card mentioning 2002 in the film has been replaced with 'a few years ago' and apart from this, the scene of a person killing Mohsin has also been cut. Also, the scenes of a jeep passing by the road have also been removed. Apart from these, these changes have been made in the film. Scenes of a tractor passing in front of the religious structure have been removed from four places.
The 11-second conversation between Masood and Zayed Masood has been removed. At 20 minutes, 4 seconds of Balraj (Abhimanyu Singh) were asked to be deleted. Scenes of violence against women have been removed at 4 places for a total of 37 seconds. 10 seconds of Balraj's scenes have been removed from two more places. A scene of dead bodies which was 8 seconds long was censored. The name of the organisation in a car has been removed while the word 'NIA' has been muted.
A scene showing a tv news screen has been changed while a shot of a character, Peethambaran, has been removed. The conversation between Balraj and Munna (Sukant Goel) has been reduced by 13 seconds. baba Bajrangi's name has been changed to Baldev at 15 places. In total, 128 seconds of the film have been removed.
