While interacting with the media during the trailer release event of Kesari: Chapter 2, the actor said that the next film in the franchise will be based on the life of hari Singh Nalwa, who was the first commander-in-chief of the Sikh Khalsa Fauj, the army of the Sikh Empire.
Hari Singh Nalwa was a Sikh commander who was a respected leader in Maharaja Ranjit Singh's army. He served as the governor of Kashmir, Hazara and Peshawar and gained popularity for his victories against the Afghans. In fact hari Singh Nalwa played a key role in stopping the invasion of Afghans in Punjab through the Khyber Pass, which has historically been the major route used by foreign invaders to enter India.
Akshay Kumar had hinted at playing hari Singh Nalwa in an interview in 2022. When the actor was asked which character he would like to play on screen, he had named hari Singh Nalwa and described him as a great warrior. It looks like his dream is coming true.
