The veteran actor and filmmaker died on april 4 at 4:03 am at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in mumbai due to prolonged illness. The whole country went into mourning after the death of the actor. The actor was fondly known as Bharat Kumar for his roles in patriotic films like 'Upkaar', 'Purab Aur Paschim' and 'Shaheed'. He has made an incomparable contribution to indian cinema.
