Phule Release: The film 'Phule' based on the life of social reformer Jyotirao Phule and savitribai phule has been postponed just before its release. Know what is the reason behind this and when will the film be released now.
The audience was eagerly waiting for Pratik gandhi and Patralekha's film 'Phule'. But now there is shocking news for the fans of this film. Because just before the release, the film has been postponed. Now this film will not be released on its scheduled date of 11 April. One of the major reasons for the release of the film being postponed is believed to be the political controversy raised over the film. Due to this the film has now been postponed by two weeks.
'Phule', based on the life of social reformer Jyotirao Phule and his wife Savitri Phule, was earlier scheduled to be released on 11 April. But now the makers have made it clear that the film will be released on 25th April and not on 11th April. The reason for the sudden postponement of the film just before its release is not clear yet. However, it is believed that the reason for its postponement could be the controversy arising over the film. The film shows the struggle of Jyotirao Phule and his wife Savitribai Phule against caste and gender injustice.
Some Brahmin communities have raised objections to the film. They say that the film tries to defame Brahmins. It also promotes casteism. The Brahmin communities also said that the help of the black Brahmin community should be shown in the film. They say that the story of the film seems one-sided, whereas it should be inclusive.
However, the makers described it as a victim of misunderstanding. The makers also talked to the maharashtra government about this. Later, the censor board i.e. CBFC asked the makers to make changes to the film. The censor board has asked to remove the voiceover from the film which discusses the caste system. It has also asked to remove words like 'Mahar', 'Maang', 'Peshwai', and 'Manus system of caste', which are considered sensitive.
