

Obscene song played in the procession taken out on ram Navami…
mumbai police is investigating the case of allegedly playing obscene songs during the procession organized on the occasion of ram Navami. The matter came to light when a video went viral. On the occasion of ram Navami, a video of the rally that passed through Andheri airport Road Metro Station and near Marol Naka went viral on social media platform 'X', in which obscene songs were heard playing, controversy arose after this video. After the viral video, the police took cognizance and started action.
DCP Zone 8 manish Kalwania said that in this regard, Sahar police had registered an FIR on april 8 under Section 296 and 3(5) of the indian Justice Code (BNS). Officials said that the use of obscene language in a public place during the rally hurts religious sentiments, which is a violation of the law.
Notice issued for further investigation
After the FIR, the police have issued notices to three persons, including the organizers of the procession and the dj operator, for questioning and further investigation. The police stressed the importance of maintaining decorum and social harmony during public events.
Warning to strictly follow guidelines
The mumbai police has also approached Platform 'X' and requested to remove the video to prevent any communal tension. Officials have assured that steps are being taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents. The organizers have been warned to strictly follow the guidelines in future events. The Sahar police is seriously investigating the matter and has assured strict action against those found guilty.
