At a recent promotional event for Thug Life, actors Kamal Haasan, trisha krishnan, and silambarasan TR shared the stage to engage with fans and the media. However, a lighthearted moment between Kamal and trisha sparked mixed reactions online after a video of their interaction surfaced on social media.

During the event, Trisha was responding to a question about her favorite dish. She said, “I like eating them allbut I like boiled bananas more. What’s it called?” She was referring to pazham pori, a popular banana fritter.

Kamal promptly reminded her of the name and then added with a laugh, “She doesn’t know the name but likes putting it in her mouth.” trisha laughed off the comment, and Kamal lightly patted her knee moments later to indicate it was all in jest. The video has since gone viral on X (formerly Twitter).

Internet reacts to Kamal Haasan’s joke on Trisha

The remark didn’t sit well with a section of social media users. One person commented, “Eww eww eww,” while another said, “Toxic Kamal,” drawing a comparison to a previous incident involving Mansoor ali Khan and Trisha. Others chimed in with, “18+ Dawn,” and “Imagine what if chiranjeevi says that.”

Meanwhile, Kamal’s fans defended him. One user wrote, “The filth lies in the mind looking for dirt. @ikamalhaasan quipped as he has many times, about fellow actor Tamizh. Nothing offensive.”

Another added, “What is double meaning in this? It’s visible that KH meant it comically, but the words he chose were wrong. He then realizes it and pats trisha to make the situation less weird and kudos to the host for changing the topic.”
