The franchise of his films has also been a hit. deepika padukone and tiger shroff were seen as police officers in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Now both of them are entering the cop universe. Along with this, Rohit has also confirmed the sequel of Simmba.
Rohit Shetty talked about the sequels of Simmba and Suryavanshi in an interview. Also told how his cop universe was created. In an interview given to Game Changers, Rohit Shetty said- When he was making Singham, he had no idea that it would become a powerful brand.
Simmba will have a sequel
Rohit further said that when he was writing the story of Simmba, he decided that he would make it a universe. Because he was also planning to make Suryavanshi. When Rohit was asked about the next franchise, he said- Simmba will also have a part 2. Suryavanshi will also move forward, more people will come. More films will be made in the cop universe. That's why we created this universe.
Deepika-Tiger will enter
Rohit Shetty further said- When we were shooting Suryavanshi in 2019, we had planned a multi-starrer film like Singham Again. In which many new characters will be introduced. All the actors joining the 2024 film knew that new actors including deepika padukone and tiger shroff would be given their own journey. So, it is not like they just come for 10-15 minutes and after that they don't have work.
Rohit Shetty's last film was Singham Again which was released on the occasion of Diwali in 2024. This film could not do anything special at the box office.
