Vamsi [Sharwanand] is an orphan, he turns as thief bcoz there is no other best easy way to survive in this world. Maya Master [Sri Hari] is a senior thief and plans for a huge robbery, forming a team which includes Vamsi, Chitti [Lakshman] and Bujji [Nischal] in it. On the flip side Vamsi has a past where he was madly in love with Sathya [Priya Anand] but due to some reasons he leaves her all alone. What was the reason which forced Vamsi part ways from Sathya ? What happened to the robbery plan?, How Vamsi's life is interconnected between his love and rob team ? Should be seen on the silver screen.
Ko Ante Koti : Star Performances
Sharwanand has once again showed his natural acting skills in this movie too. To retain a natural feel to character, he opted out make-up. As a thief struggling to get changed into gud guy, Sharva's performance looked nice on big screen. Priya Anand looked convincing as a girl next door with magnetizing screen presences and she did complete justice to the role which was given to her.
Sri Hari is show Steeler in this movie in ‘Maya Master’ character, who stands as master mind till climax. This was not first time to him to portray these kind of roles but the impact which he left in this character is powerful. Thagubothu Ramesh is the only comic element in this film, he made audience laugh with his trade mark character as drunken person.
Ko Ante Koti Review : Direction, Music & Technical Aspects
Anish Yohan Kuruvilla couldn't even use the "second chance" which he got to show his directional skills. Like his first film ‘Avakai Biryani ’ he lacked to narrate the story in a crispy way, which is required in a crime-thriller film like this. Even the screenplay is miserably terrible, which don’t make audience stick to their seat.
Music given by Shakti Kanth never impress even for a minute, much required background score for this genre films is missing totally. Erukulla Rakesh & Naveen Yadav cinematography looks like a short film rather than main stream movie. Editing is bad without any crisp in important scenes. Production values are not up to standards of regular Telugu movie.
Ko Ante Koti Review : Analysis
With the kind of hype given to this flick from day one as crime-thriller & Sharwanand producing it , expectations were high but on silver screen it didn't live up to it . Director Anish Yohan Kuruvilla couldn't take a clear stand on what point he was trying to convey in the movie and made it unfit into any single genre. An intimate lip-lock between leads can be seen, which follows by a romantic song and director should know why he placed that scenes which did not sink with the story. On top of it miserable screenplay, editing and climax have made the film unimpressive yet again.
Especially slow-phased narration will test your patience and adds more confusion with on & off flashback episode of lead pair. There is no clarity in any of the characters of this movie. First half is screwed off with dead drop screenplay, unimpressive songs and confusing unrelated plots in story of this movie. Second half is where you get little clarity, director tried to inter connected the confusing plots created in first half and throws light on what exactly the movie plot is all about .
Street stage plays at villages are nice to watch and they are presented well. There are few raw dialogue’s like “Poojaki panikirani puvvu nuvvu, needi nuvve vayinchuko” might be the reasons why ‘A’ certificate was given to this film. There are couple of interesting twists which might bring a hope that something interesting is left more to come in the movie, but nothing happens much.
