"Shankar sir's twist..." - baba bhaskar on how the song ``Katharals'' came about

The song ``Katharals'' from the movie Indian-2 is playing everywhere on social media. It is evident from the making of this song that it will be among the great songs in Shankar's films. We spoke to choreographer baba bhaskar about how the song came to be

"I really wanted to work with Rajini sir and Kamal sir in cinema. I worked with Rajini sir on the film 'Petta'. Kamal sir is also working but it didn't happen. When shankar sir called me from the office and said that I want to do a song in the film 'Indian-2', I had that desire. I went to see shankar very happily. There is a twist. He said, 'This song will be like the arrival of indian grandfather.' I went down and started looking for work.

Shankar sir had planned this song very grandly. So far I have never sung for 500 dancers. So much for my career, 'Katharals' is a great song. shankar sir saw the song and said, 'You have done it very well. I like it very much' he praised. Aniruta is the most important reason why this song became super. I was able to make a very good choreo because of the Sema tune he gave me. shankar sir and the producer gave me everything I asked for this song. That is the reason for this greatness."

At first, siddhartha danced in that show too. But since he was not in town on that date, we were thinking what to do. Then shankar came up with an idea to make Aditi dance. Recently, I saw the videos of Arjith, the son of Saroda, at shankar Saroda's daughter's wedding. When shankar asked if he could ask him, he said, 'Master, he is my boy. He is also for cinema. Use him. He said, 'If he plays badly, just fix it.' But the boy came and played; What energy for him!  He such a big guy and cool without any strings attached. I liked him a lot. He kept asking, 'Am i doing well, Master?' Surely he will become a star. He has that much talent."
