Madhuri Shekar's award-winning play after paying visit to Atlanta, Georgia, Arlington, Virginia, Chicago and Los Angeles is now all set to premiere in Bay Area. The Bay Area premiere will take place at the Custom Made Theater in San Francisco. The play will be running till December 12th.
The play is all about story of a girl named Evie and how she falls in love. Evie Malone is a gamer who is the top ranker in 'World of Warcraft' game and she earns cash selling love letters to her friends in screwed up relations.
But at one stage Evie herself falls for one of her clients and she realizes that her gaming strategies cannot be used in world of relationships and intimacy. Regarding this Shekar says, "This play was just a response to the culture shock which I experienced about the world of dating, sex, love and intimacy.
Everyone has weird constraints and expectations upon your sexuality and dating in India. I find the same thing in a different manner. Here if you are going to be a college senior, you should have lost your virginity. Right now I am working on a play for infants and toddlers."
