Indian doctors in UK may find it tough to apply for job as the new Visa rules has tightened screws. There are new plans to introduce a new test for the employers for ensuring European workers are given priority for skilled jobs.

So if the employer wish to recruit a migrant from outside the nation, they should attend Resident Labour Market Test (RLMT). And this test is to prove that the post is on shortage and there are no new proposals. UK Migration advisory committee's recommended this to ensure UK and UK and European workers are given first preference within UK's National Health Service (NHS).

The British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) is a representative body of nearly 50,000 Indian-origin doctors in the country/ BAPIO President Dr.Ramesh Mehta said,

"We just need to make sure that Indian doctors were not given the service easily. They also were treated equally as other local doctors and proper training was given to them and they ensure they possess the required skill. These will solve political as well as practical issues."
