Mobarak Musa who is a Mobile Telephone Salesman was working in Syria and he was sending half his salary to his parents and three brothers, was doing so for the past 10 successful years. As per the new shift policy hereafter he will not be able to do so.


During the beginning of March, the Ministry of Labour has declared that the foreigners within a period of six months will not be allowed to sell and maintain mobile phones and accessories and instead the opportunity will be given to the Saudi citizens. So it is expected that Musa is one of the thousands of foreign workers from Saudi Arabia will lose their job and will be spend to their respective country.


Because of low oil prices the country’s financial position was lowered and so the Saudi government has decided to reduce the employment opportunities for the expatriates. Musa feels very sad and has said he doesn’t know any other job that has his own mobile shop. The Saudi Company’s are saying around 1 million will be sent to their native within this year end.


Many foreign workers were not paid salary for many months because of the government policy. The Labour Ministry has said they have plans for nationalization of sectors like taxis, tours and travel, real estate, jewellery and vegetable market. Presently many are moving from the country in search of jobs in their native places.
