There are numerous news channels in the US and according to the recent research done on the different religions and their preference of watching news channels, it was found that hindus and muslims prefer to watch CNN, while white evangelicals like Fox News. Religious viewers in the US are highly influenced by Fox News. After the 2020 united states Presidential election this was the analysis report released by nonprofit Public religion Research Institute.

According to the report 15% of Americans said Fox news is the most trusted source. Talking to the twitter, Ryan Burge shared the analysis chart and wrote, "Muslims and hindus really like CNN. Like, moreso than white evangelicals like Fox News. CNN beats MSNBC among every religious group. An atheist is 3x as likely to watch PBS than a white evangelical. 34% of nothing in particular watch Fox, it's only 14% of atheists."

Another Cooperative election survey was also analyzed to explore the relationship between the religion and the news channels. The annual survey that was carried out before november 2020 elections talked about the news consumption habits of Americans. Some interesting facts emerged across religious traditions and the nonreligious traditions about the type of news being consumed.
