Roja Selvamani is a famous South Indian actress and right now she is a politician. She is right now with YSR Congress Party and she won as a MLA from Nagiri in 2014 General elections. She is fondly called as 'Controversial Queen'. Initially when she jumped into Politics, she joined Telugu Desam and became Woman wing president of Telugu Mahila Party.
By 2009 state elections she got into some confrontations with opposite party leaders and that lead to her defeat for the second consecutive time in Andhra Pradesh Assembly polls. By August 2009 she left TDP and joined Congress. But once again due to her bad mouth, She quit Congress party and right now she is with YSR Congress Party.
On May 16, 2014 she won as MLA from Nagari assembly constituency. She is an active member among women MLA's. But most of them time she has a bad image due to her foul mouth and misbehaviour during Assembly proceedings. This has not happened once or twice. There were multiple incidents where she has used foul mouth.
Most of the time she has come under severe scrutiny by Various politicians, political analysts and activists. But despite all these, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was there to back her up and he supported this behaviour. So Jagan Mohan Reddy was also criticized by political analysts.
As she used foul mouth against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, she was suspended for one year. Most of them believed she deserves this as she must consider this as a lesson. But she went to Apex court and revoked the suspension. But now Hyderabad Hugh court suspends the single judge order and the one year suspension stays. This is indeed a setback for Roja.
