The opening week of the parliamentary session was totally deadened due to the opposition's clamour over the Pegasus spyware phone tapping matter. The tragedy of indians paying for their lives and paying taxes extends to be wasted by the clamour of the opposition parties in the parliament.
Condemning the tapping of the phone, members of the opposition parties rallied and as a consequence, the assemblage was suspended.
In this situation, the agitation of the opposition continued recently, the weekend. Since the recent morning, the issue of phone tapping has troubled both houses of parliament on a large scale.
Opposition MPs of the parliament then gathered in the centre of the house to raise voice against recent happenings. In an attempt to appease them the Speaker om birla adjourned the House. The rajya sabha was also agitated from the outset.
Subsequently, when Union minister Aswini Vaishnav attempted to register a report in the house the day before yesterday, Trinamool mp Shantanu Sen, who had seized it up, declared that the entire assembly would be 'suspended'. Following this, venkaiah naidu, the Speaker, commanded Shantanu Sen to leave the house due to suspension activity. The commotion was on a high note as Santanu Sen refused to leave the session. Therefore throughout this week, activities inside the parliament were completely deadened.
This isn't a good act for the country's dignity and democracy!
However, any problems raised by the earlier governments were resolved within three days. The cost for organising a monsoon parliament is Rs 3 lakh per minute. Till now 43.20 crore rupees were wasted!
Will the government understand that the common man's money is being wasted like this?
