On november 11, a Class 12 student in coimbatore committed suicide. Her dad and a good friend discovered her. Her companion and parents said she was suffering from serious psychological anguish as a result of alleged sexual assault and harassment by mithun Chakravarthy, a school teacher at Chinmaya Vidyalaya. According to reports, the attack and harassment occurred over a six-month period. According to her mom, the youngster had constantly requested that her parents change her schools, but had never explained why.


The mother told the reporters that her daughter had even protested to the school's principal, who told her not to tell her parents. The school had also scheduled psychotherapy, during which the student was reportedly urged not to take the attack or harassing seriously and to dismiss it "as if someone bumped into her on the bus," according to the girl's parents. "He sexually abused her in school once and tormented her on other occasions. His wife teaches at the same school, and both she and the principal were aware of the situation, but did nothing "a friend claimed.


The school's principal denied knowing of the reported instances, claiming that the student's parents had changed schools for financial reasons.
