In an effort to improve efficiency and transparency in the administration, the bjp central government is planning to split the 77 members from the overall cabinet into eight separate committees to improve technology-based resources and create a pool of experts for inclusion in their committees.
Narendra Modi-led central government is considering young MPs to make better use of technology for project monitoring and seek advice from retiring officials.
The process of dividing the ministers into eight groups is to be developed under the leadership of prime minister Modi. A total of five meetings were held for this purpose. Each meeting is assembled for individual performance.
It is about enforcement, the functioning of the ministry and the involvement of stakeholders, party coordination and effective communication and lastly parliamentary procedures.
Some of the tasks assigned to these committees are to create a portal in each minister's office that will act as a body to monitor the performance of the government's primary plans and policies, the decisions of the respective ministers, and to plan meetings and manage correspondence.
They have been instructed to develop plans for stakeholder involvement and to create profiles of all states, districts and ministries.
The teams are said to have been tasked with developing a mechanism to create a team of three young professionals with good control over communications, research and other key areas. Another team has been appointed to gather the experiences and opinions of retiring employees.
These meetings are considered important in view of the 2024 general election.
