The winter sessions of parliament will be held from november 29. It seems that these meetings will be held until december 23rd.
The lok sabha and rajya sabha secretariats on tuesday issued a statement on the winter session. These meetings will have the opportunity to introduce and discuss 26 bills, mainly the cryptocurrency bill.
The Center is also gearing up to bring in three key ordinances during the winter session itself. The issue of cryptocurrency has been around for a long time.
Along with this, the banking Amendment Bill, the Agricultural Law Abolition Bill, the IBC Amendment Bill and many other bills will come up for discussion.
Recently a parliamentary committee met for the first time on the issue of cryptocurrency. The parliamentary panel was of the opinion that cryptocurrency could not be prevented but needed to be regulated.
Earlier, prime minister Narendra Modi had discussed the same issue with officials of various ministries and RBI sources.
It is in this context that the cryptocurrency bill gained prominence. It seems likely that the country will impose a ban on private cryptocurrencies.
The cryptocurrency, however, is likely to be exempted by the Center to promote the technology required to use it. Meanwhile, farmers across the country are also eagerly awaiting the winter sessions of Parliament.
It is learned that prime minister Narendra Modi has recently announced the repeal of agricultural laws. The central government will make an official announcement on this during the winter session of Parliament.
