The Vaikunda Ekadasi festival at the Renganathar temple in Srirangam, Trichy began with the Thirunathanthakam on the 3rd of last month. Since then, the Vaikunda Ekadasi festival has been held in Srirangam every 19 years in the month of Karthikai. 


In that sense, this year's Vaikunda Ekadasi festival has come in the month of Karthika. Every day during the daytime festivities which started on the 4th of last month, Namperumal wakes up from the headquarters in various decorations and blesses the devotees at the arjuna Mandapam.


 For this, Namperumal leaves the headquarters at 3.30 am and crosses the Paramapatha gate.

Vaikunda Ekadasi festival is celebrated in the month of Karthika after 19 years. A total of 21 days will be celebrated as day and night. 


Similarly, thousands of devotees come to Darshan every day. telangana chief minister Chandrasekara Rao and his family paid a courtesy call on the chief minister of Srirangam Arulmigu Aranganathar temple today.


 Following this, he passed through the Ariyappadal gate through the Karuda Mandapam and saw the great festival which was on display at the Muthangi service at the Moolavar Sannidhi. 

Later, he went with his family in a vehicle to the temple and performed darshan at the Ranganayaki Mother Sanctuary.


Telangana chief minister Chandrasekara Rao, who met reporters after Swami's darshan at the Aranganathar temple, said in an interview. I have come to Srirangam temple for the second time and am very happy. 


The temple is well maintained and thanks to the government of tamil Nadu for that. I have come to tamil Nadu for the first time since the DMK government took over. 


He also said that he was scheduled to meet the chief minister of tamil Nadu in chennai tomorrow evening.
