Statue of Equality and its specialty??


Prime minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated a 216 feet high 'statue of equality' in the memory of 11th-century Bhakti saint Ramanujacharya at shamshabad in Telangana. PM Modi said in the inauguration ceremony, the Statue of Equality will increase the enthusiasm of the youth, and it is a mark of his knowledge, detachment, and ideals.


PM Modi further said, for development, it is not necessary to leave our roots, Ramanujacharya did work for the Dalit community. PM Modi further said it is also a happy coincidence that the celebrations on Ramanujacharya are happening at the same time when the country is celebrating 75 years of its independence.


He said, in the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, we are remembering the history of the freedom struggle. Today the country is paying a grateful tribute to its freedom fighters. On one hand, Sardar Saheb's 'Statue of Unity is repeating the oath of unity in the country, while Ramanujacharya's Statue of Equality is giving the message of equality. This is the specialty of India as a nation.


What is the Statue of Equality?

The 216 feet high Statue of Equality is made of 'Panchaloha'. It is a combination of five metals gold, silver, copper, brass, and zinc. It has been established on a 54 feet high base building named 'Bhadra Vedi'. It houses a Vedic wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital library and research center, ancient Indian texts, a theater, and an educational gallery. 

The inauguration of the Statue of Equality is a part of Sri Ramanuja's millennium celebrations. It is being said that flags of all countries will be installed near this statue based on equality.
