AIADMK co-ordinator O. Panneer Selvam has met former AIADMK minister Jayakumar. Jayakumar, who was arrested for assaulting a DMK volunteer, was remanded in custody. So far three cases have been registered against him in successive cases. 

Earlier when Rajendra balaji was arrested in a corruption case, neither the OPS, EPS nor the former ministers visited the jail. It was immediately reported that it upset Rajendra Balaji. When he came out of prison the former ministers went in search of him and met him.

A similar situation prevailed in the case of Jayakumar. party volunteers chanted slogans in support of Jayakumar when he was arrested and taken to court. 

In this context, he plans to meet Sasikala Jayakumar, who is eager to capture the AIADMK. Jayakumar's side has been told about it from Sasikala side. Jayakumar thanked Sasikala for thinking of meeting him and sent word that the meeting could be avoided as vain controversies would arise.

Edappadi Palanisamy, who arrived in chennai on the eve of Jayalalithaa's birthday, paid homage to the statue of jayalalithaa by wearing a garland with coordinator O. Panneer Selvam. It is said that the OPS then asked if he could go to see Jayakumar. But Edappadi Palanisamy has replied that he is leaving for Salem. Thus, the OBS can go to jail and put the meeting to bed.
