Russian Foreign minister met indian Prime Minister!!!


Russian Foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, who arrived in india, met prime minister narendra modi this evening. According to the information given by the PMO, in this meeting, the Foreign minister of russia informed PM Modi about the situation in Ukraine. Russian Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov also informed PM Modi about the Russia-Ukraine talks.


During this, PM narendra modi reiterated his call for an early end to the violence and conveyed India's readiness to contribute in any way to the peace efforts. The Russian Foreign minister also updated prime minister narendra modi on the progress of decisions taken during the India-Russia bilateral summit held in december 2021 during the meeting.

Earlier, Russian Foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said on friday that russia has started moving towards trading in national currencies with india and its other partners to overcome obstacles related to Western sanctions. They resolved to continue the momentum of bilateral strategic ties. Lavrov made the remarks after extensive talks with External Affairs minister S Jaishankar.

The Russian Foreign minister talked about the "very good relations" between the relevant ministries of india and russia to ensure the continuity of bilateral trade despite Western sanctions. "We have very good relations between the ministries of trade, the ministries of finance, and I have no doubt that a way will be found to remove artificial barriers such as illegal and unilateral sanctions created by the West," he said.
