Kallakurichi Violence: bus Set On Fire..144 issued.

The Directorate of Matriculation Schools informed that there is no possibility of opening the school affected by the riot in Kallakurichi immediately. A private school is running in Kanyamoor village near Kallakurichi. A 17-year-old girl from the village of Periya Nesalur studied in 12th grade while staying in the school hostel. It has been reported that the student committed suicide by jumping down from the boardinghouse floor on the nighttime of the 13th of July.

The parents and relatives of the student have stated that there are various doubts about the death of the student. They are continuously protesting for justice for the death of the student. 

On the 4th day today, their protest turned violent. They started attacking the police by throwing stones at them. Meanwhile, the protestors trespassed into the school where the student was studying and smashed the vehicles there including buses.

Also, rioters set fire to school buses. It has been reported that more than 10 school buses were set on fire on the school premises.

Meanwhile, in order to bring the riot under control, district Collector sridhar has ordered to issue 144 Prohibitory Orders across Kallakurichi taluk. Also, prohibitory order 144 has been issued in Chinnasalem and Nayanarpalayam areas.

Also, the Directorate of Matriculation Schools said that the district Collector will take a decision on the reopening of the school and that the education of 4,000 students has been affected due to the protest.
