Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that further steps should be taken only in accordance with the law in banning the Popular Front. The proposal is in the meeting of the collectors and the police. The chief minister directed that there should be no lapses and no undue haste and excitement.

Meanwhile, the high court allowed KSRTC's request to collect compensation from the Popular Front leaders in connection with the violence on the hartal day.
A division bench of the high court directed the court to deposit Rupees 5.20 crore demanded by KSRTC and the government on account of damages caused during the sit-in. The high court has also ordered to make Abdul Sattar, the state secretary of the Popular Front, an accused in all the cases in Kerala. The division bench observed that the sit-in was an unsustainable situation for the people. The important order of the high court is in a case taken voluntarily against the lightning sit-in.
