Even though ysr congress party chairman and chief minister of andhra pradesh Y S jagan Mohan reddy has been adamantly advocating for Visakhapatnam to be the state's executive capital, the prime minister's remarks at a public meeting in the port city on saturday garnered him a lot of support. Modi lavished Visakhapatnam with praise, referring to it as one of India's most eminent cities. "The entire nation holds this city in the highest regard. Visakhapatnam Port was a significant port city and one of the most significant trade hubs of ancient india, the man claimed.

Modi noted that vizag port has a rich history and recalled how, more than 1,000 years ago, it served as a trading gateway to Rome and West Asia. Wherever there is a shore line, development will occur, he declared. The prime minister declared that the initiatives he had started and established the groundwork for will lead to Visakhapatnam's advancement and development. According to him, new initiatives like a multi-modal transportation system and train infrastructure would turn india into a developed country. Despite the fact that Modi made no mention of the executive capital in Visakhapatnam or comments on the three-capitals concept, his remarks about the city's infrastructure and infrastructure in general are seen as endorsing the executive capital.

The ysr congress party has a good possibility of interpreting Modi's remarks in favour of the three capitals formula, even if he has no intention of doing so.
