In a horrifying case of alleged honour killing in delhi, a dad fatally shot his daughter and, with the assistance of his wife, placed her body in a suitcase. On november 18, the delhi police recovered Aayushi Chaudhary's body, who was 22 years old, on the yamuna Expressway. The murder of Aayushi was allegedly carried out by her father in a home in Delhi's Badarpur, where she was allegedly shot twice in the chest. Later, her body was placed on the side of the road after being crammed inside a red suitcase that was lined with plastic.

The delhi police discovered this crime just a few days after Shraddha Walkar's murder, in which a woman was killed by her live-in spouse, whose body was then dismembered into 35 parts and kept in a refrigerator. Aayushi supposedly had a relationship with Chhatrapal, a person from a different caste. The parents of Aayushi did not give their consent for the marriage. This infuriated her father, who then shot her twice in the chest.

Aayushi's body stayed at the Chaudhary home for more than 12 hours after the murder before her parents decided how to dispose of it. Her body was stuffed in plastic bags and a red suitcase that her father purchased before being thrown on the yamuna Expressway. The legal firearm that her father owned and used to kill Aayushi. Because of the blood on her face and the numerous wounds on her body, it has been assumed that she was beaten up before being shot.

Aayushi's mother and brother went to identify her body two days later while reportedly participating in the honour killing, and they sobbed excessively. The police were the ones who contacted her family, and even after two days, they had not filed a missing person complaint. An unidentified person called delhi police to report seeing a suitcase on the road with a dead body inside of it. Although the informant's identity has not been revealed, it is assumed that they were Aayushi's friends.
