Cyclone Mandus is expected to make landfall between Puducherry-Sriharikota near Mamallapuram between tonight and tomorrow morning, according to the chennai Meteorological Department. In this case, buses will run as usual in tamil Nadu except the areas where the storm is crossing the coast, according to the government Transport Corporation.

In this case, the puducherry government Road Transport Corporation has informed that puducherry buses coming to chennai will be stopped. Accordingly, puducherry buses coming to chennai via ECR road and buses going to Karaikal will be stopped. According to the chennai Meteorological Department, Super Cyclone Mantus has weakened to a storm and is 260 km away from Chennai.

Regarding this, S. Balachandran, head of chennai Meteorological Center said, "Mandus, a severe storm, has now weakened and is located 260 km south-south-east of Chennai. It has been moving at a speed of 12 km per hour in the last 6 hours. It is continuing in a north-westerly direction. It will cross the coast between Puducherry-Sriharikota near Mamallapuram sometime between this morning night and tomorrow morning," he said.
